Removing, Adding and Changing MFA Authetication Methods
First head to office.com on your laptop/computer and sign in with the account you want to change the MFA methods on.
Click on your initials in the top right-hand corner, and go to 'view account'.
This will take you to another page, once this page has loaded, click on 'security info' in either of the areas below.
Here you will be able to see the methods you have already set up, you can delete or change any of these to change you phone number if needed, or to add another authentication method.
We will be running through how to add the Microsoft authenticator from this area.
First Click on 'Add sign-in method'.
From here, select Authenticator app as your wanted method.
And then click 'add'.
Make sure you have the Microsoft authenticator app installed on your mobile device.
Once this is installed on your phone, go back to your laptop/computer, and click next on your web browser.
Click next again on the next page.
Go back to your mobile device and go onto the Authenticator app.
In the app click the plus icon in the upper right-hand corner.
You will then be presented with the below options.
Choose "Work or School Account".
Then select "Scan QR Code" (you may be prompted to allow the app to access your camera to do this).
On your Laptop/Computer you will see a QR code like the below.
Make sure to scan this with your phone and then click 'Next'.
This will then send an approved notification to your phone, you will see a number displayed on your Laptop/Computer that you will need to enter on your phone.
Enter the number you see on your Laptop/Computer on your mobile device and click 'Yes'.
Once this is done you will see a notification approved message on your Laptop/Computer.
You will be then able to click 'Next' and 'Done'.
This is now set up and can be used for authentication whenever you are logging into your account with us.
